I turned 30 with two parties, four cakes and lots of food & fun with friends & family!

Oscar in Uruguay

My nephew and his parents are off to Uruguay this week to meet his paternal grandfather or abuelo (in Spanish).

They will be gone an entire month and I am sure they will have the most fabulous time eating meat and quince paste, dancing, watching soccer and hunting armadillos.

I am sure Osc will be chatting in Spanish and much grown when he returns. Happy travels little trio!

Japan sad

I am very sad about Japan. I have travelled through this beautiful country and hope to visit again someday soon.

This weekend I am off to Canberra to visit the amazing costumes in the Ballets Russes exhibition at the National Gallery of Australia. I am also very excited about experiencing James Turrell's 'Within without ' Skyspace installation, a structure which emphasises light, movement and sound.
